TattooStar - Removal of Tattoos and spots -
· Why choose a Q- switched laser?
This emission mode of the laser beam generates short pulses - in the range of nanoseconds - with high peaks of power which causes micro explosions in the color pigments contained in the skin and tattoos that are removed by the lymphatic system.
· How many colors can be treated successfully?
All dark colors, from black to grey, blue and green. Pastel colors or those tending towards red and yellow are more difficult to eliminate. Thanks to the new technologies of TattooStar Y from today on it is possible to remove red colour and similar.
· What advantages does this laser offer over its competitors?
Thanks to a technology based on special Asclepion micro-lenses it is capable of creating a homogeneous spot that allows for excellent coverage of the parts treated (it is not necessary to carry out any overlapping). Moreover, the hexagonal shape of the spot helps prevent leaving any untreated spaces, with benefits for the patient and the physician in relation to the speed and effectiveness of the session.
· Is the treatment painful?
The treatment is not painful. It is recommended however to cool the part before the laser pulse for at least 30 seconds beforehand, or in the case of the treatment of particularly sensitive body zones, to apply an anesthetic cream.
· How many sessions are necessary to remove a tattoo?
It depends on the size of the tattoo, if it is an amateur or professional one, the depth of the pigment system in the skin and how many years ago it was applied. Normally 6 to 8 sessions are necessary with intervals of approximately 30/40 days in between.
· Is TattooStar R only used to remove tattoos?
Other possible applications of the Q- Switched laser consist of the removal of hyperpigmentation, such as age spots on the face and hands, and the removal of permanent make-up without leaving any signs whatsoever.
· Are there alternative methods to laser?
A possible alternative is plastic surgery however this has undesirable side effects like scars and permanent hypopigmenation in the area treated. This is something that practically never happens with the laser treatment which leaves absolutely no scarring.
· What happens during the treatment?
Immediate whitening can be observed in the area treated and straight afterwards there is a slight swelling that disappears within a few hours. The area should be medicated with an antibiotic cream and washed the following day. The patient can resume normal daily activities immediately. Exposure to the sun is advised against for the entire duration of the treatment (or otherwise to carefully cover the part being treated).
